In August there were 182 immigrants, in September 257 and in October 175. Of the 614 immigrants who entered during these three months, 305 were admitted under the Labor schedule, 224 were relatives of Jews already resident in Palestine and 85 were immigrants possessed of means.
The statement also notes that the executive undertook during the past year an extensive program of hygienic improvement in the housing conditions of the workers in the colonies. The sum of $47,500 was allocated for building residences for 750 workers and barracks for 400 Yemenite families. This year a sum of $27,750 has been set aside for the same purpose.
