Menachem M. Ussishkin, president of the Jewish National Fund, Professor Horace M. Kallen, James Waterman Wise, honorary secretary of Avukah, Dr. E. H. Feilchenfeld of the Harvard Law School and Joseph Baratz of the General Federation of Jewish Labor in Palestine will be among the speakers at the fifth anniversary convention of Avukah, American Student Zionist Federation which opens in Boston tomorrow and will last until December 28th.
Rabbi Samuel M. Blumenfield, national president of Avukah, will give a report of the activities of the organization which has chapters throughout the United States and Canada, and George M. Hyman, executive secretary will outline proposals for future undertakings. Professor Nathan Isaacs of Harvard will preside at a symposium on “Palestine and the American Jewish Youth,” and Judge Jacob J. Kaplan of Boston will act as chairman at the reception to the Honorary Convention Committee.
The headquarters of the fifth anniversary Avukah convention will be the Hotel Statler, Boston, and Dr. Mitchell Salem Fisher, Chairman of the Administrative committee and Rebahiah Lewin-Epstein, treasurer will report at the business sessions where the Avukah Summer School Camp and the Chizik Memorial Palestine Project will be included in the agenda.
