6 Ruthenian Jews Who Fled to Rumania Get Jail Terms

A military court at Cluj, capital of the Rumanian province of Transylvania, has sentenced six Carpatho Russian Jews to prison for illegal entry into Rumania after the Hungarian occupation of Carpatho Russia. The defendants testified they fled from fear of Hungarian violence. A seven-month term was imposed on Dominic Job and two month terms on Ignaniu Katz, Ferdinand Smilevicz, David Leibovicz, Samuel Rosenfeld and Andor Goldstein.
