The naturalization committees of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies have received from six to seven hundred citizenship applications, of which two or three hundred are expected to be granted before the Summer vacation. Pro-Fascist Rexist members of Parliament were excluded from these committees. Parliament has the sole right to grant naturalizations under Belgian law.
