The more than 6,000 Jewish visaless immigrants interned on Cyprus began a 24-hour strike at midnight last night in protest against the recently announced Palestine quota for the next two months. Under the quota 300 Jews from Cyprus will be permitted to enter Palestine during the Nov. 15-Dec. 14 period and an additional 750 will be admitted the following month.
