Sixty-two American students from all parts of the United States left today to work in various Israeli kibbutzim for the summer under the aegis of the Jewish Agency.
This group is the first of a new Israel summer work project called “Summer in Kibbutz. ” It is one of numerous projects sponsored by the Jewish Agency in cooperation with various departments of the American Zionist Council, under which over 1, 000 young people from the United States will spend this summer in Israel.
Under the “Summer in Kibbutz” program students, ranging in age from 19 to 23, will spend 10 weeks in the following kibbutzim: Sasa, Hagoshrim, Kfar Hanassi and Lavi.
