More than 685 books of Jewish interest were published in the United States, Great Britain and Israel in the year which ended May 1965, according to a listing in the latest volume of the Jewish Book Annual, which appeared today.
The volume, No, 23, contains summaries of books in English, Hebrew and Yiddish, both fiction and non-fiction, and articles in the three languages on recent literary trends in the field. Edited by Dr. A. Alan Steinbach, rabbi of Temple Ahavath Shalom, Brooklyn, the 248-page book was issued by the Jewish Book Council of the National Jewish Welfare Board.
