Seventy prominent residents of Denver, all active in that city’s Allied Jewish Community Council, departed tonight, via E1 A1 Israel Airlines, for a 31-day Special Study Mission to survey programs of refugee relief in Europe and aid to immigrants in Israel supported by the nationwide United Jewish Appeal. The Mission is headed by Jack Shapiro, president of the Allied Community Council which raises funds in Denver for UJA and local needs.
Each member of the study mission is paying his own expense. Nathan Rosenberg, executive director of the Allied Community Council, described the Mission as one of the largest study undertakings of its kind ever organized.
