The United Press today reported from Frankfurt that 700 displaced Jews who were resettled in Israel have returned to Germany and are now a problem for the American and German authorities.
Most of them have appealed to the International Refugee Organization to restore their status as displaced persons and help them migrate to the United States or Australia. However, the I.R.O. is taking the position that once a displaced person has been resettled, he loses his DP status, the report said.
