7,000 Butcher Workers Win Minimum Demands

Averting a threatened strike of 7,000 butcher workers and delivery men, the West Side Butcher Bosses Association is to sign an agreement next Wednesday recognizing the Delivery Boys Union.

The agreement, which will be si###d in the office of Ben Golden, chief examiner for the NRA Regional Labor Board, who mediated the threatened strike, guarantees a $25 minimum wage to chauffeur delivery boys and $20 to other delivery men.

The union, which has affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, will hold an organization mass meeting Wednesday night at 231 East Fourteenth street.
