$7,000 was raised by the Gewerkschaften campaign committee and the jewish National Workers’ Alliance in the Queen Esther popularity and beauty contest held here. The contest was featured by a ball, proceeds of which are to be forwarded to the Histadruth organization of Tel Aviv.
Mrs. Samuel Shapiro of Milwaukee won the popularity title and Miss Mildred Miller of Waukesha received the beauty award. Miss Miller was designated Queen Esther.
