More than $70,000 in pledges and contributions were collected last night at the end of the first day’s session of a three-day national convention of the Junior Hadassah. One thousand delegates and guests, representing 20,000 members throughout the country, are attending.
The contributions will be used for a $700,000 fund for expansion of facilities at the organization’s children’s village in Palestine. It was announced earlier that over $175,000 had been collected by the Junior Hadassah between July, 1946, and June, 1947.
