The move is being made to provide room for 500 women and children who were shipwrecked on the Dodecanese island of Sirini several weeks ago and who are expected to arrive in Haifa this week. The same transport will bring approximately 250 other Cyprus deportees who are expected to be released at the same time as the Sirini refugees.
