The Jewish National Workers’ Alliance announced today a decision of its general executive to raise $75,000 as its quota in the $500,000 drive of the Gewerkschaften campaign. The quota represents almost double the sum raised last year.
David Pinski, president of the Alliance, said at a meeting of the executive that the enlarged quota was made necessary by the situation created in Palestine by recent outbreaks. He added that the Alliance would seek to redouble its activities for the Jewish National Fund.
