Seventy-seven Jewish children holding certificates for Palestine were permitted to leave Germany under the auspices of the Youth Aliyah movement, according to a cable from London received here today by Hadassah. The children are between the ages of 15 and 17 and were placed aboard an unnamed Italian steamer at Trieste, Italy on September 4. They are expected to arrive momentarily at either the Tel Aviv or Haifa harbors in Palestine. The cable stated further that there were “good hopes for the evacuation of 300 more German Jewish children very shortly.”
