Wilhelm Kunze, national leader of the German-American Bund, seven other Bundsmen, Leonard L. Clark, a writer for Bund publications and Wilbur V. Keegan, counsel for the Bund, were indicted today for “promoting hatred against people of the Jewish religion.”
The indictments were handed up by the Sussex County Grand Jury to Common Pleas Judge John C. Losey. The other Bundsmen accused were August Klapprott, leader of the New Jersey Bund and manager of its Camp Nordlend at Andover, N.J; Matthias Kohler, state treasurer of the Bund; John C. Fittig, state secretary of the Bund and Richard Schiele, Paul Schaarschmidt, Carl Schipphorst and George Neupert, directors of Camp Nordland.
