As of March 1, 1945, the Bureau of War Records at the Jewish Welfare Board had in its files the names of more than 8,206 American Jewish men in uniform who have received citations and decorations for valor in combat and criterious service against the for, the JWB announced today.
Among the 8,200 are 78 Jewish men who each have to their credit ten or more pards for heroism, holding an aggregate of 881 such decorations.
