More than 900 Jewish children from the British zone in Germany will be assembled at Bergen-Belsen within a few weeks for emigration to Palestine, according to a report received here today from Hamburg.
One hundred and twenty children, who arrived in Hamburg from the Theresienstadt concentration camp last June, and, who have been living in Blankeness, near Hamburg in an orphanage maintained by the Joint Distribution Committee on the former Warburg estate, will be part of the large transport, which will probably leave Europe from Marseilles.
It is also reported here that the Swedish Government has offered refuge to 300 Jews from the British zone. One hundred and seventy have already sailed from Luebeck aboard the S.S. Kastelholm.
In Munich the newly-formed Federation of Polish Jews has announced that it will cooperate with all Polish-Jewish groups throughout the world in celebrating, on April 18th, the third anniversary of the Battle of the Warsaw Ghetto.
