The largest single day’s shipment of refugee emigrants, 916, left Munich and Stuttgart today for Bremerhaven where they will be processed and await transportation to the United States.
Voluntary relief agency officials point out that this does not mean that the rate of immigration has been increased, but that there is a large immigrant backlog in Germany and additional shipping is becoming available. Among the immigrants are 67 unaccompanied Jewish orphans.
