Sylvia Brody of Akron, O. was unanimously elected president of the Junior Hadassah yesterday by delegates attending the 17th annual convention of the organization here. She succeeds Nell ziff.
The delegates approved a plan to plant 1,500 trees on Mt. Scopus in Palestine to honor the retiring president’s “unexcelled service and splendid leadership.”
The delegates approved budgets for Palestine projects totalling $93,000. They also passed a resolution expressing gratitude to President Judah L. Magnes of the Hebrew University at Jerusalem, Henrietta Szold and Julius Simon for serving on the Hadassah War Emergency Committee in Palestine.
