A bipartisan group of 37 lawmakers urged the State Department not to fund the United Nations Relief and Works Agency because of its ties to terrorist organizations. In a letter Wednesday to U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, the lawmakers noted that the head of UNRWA has acknowledged that Hamas members are on the agency’s payroll.
