A body of German Jewish immigrants here are planning the establishment of a liberal Hebrew “temple,” according to a report published in the current issue of Doar Hayom. The immigrants are said to be accustomed to this form of worship abroad.
The rules for the administration of the people are in the process of being drawn up and they will be submitted to Palestine authorities for approval.
Doar Hayom reports further that negotiations are under way between the Vaad Leumi, Jewish National Council of Palestine, and the Agudath Israel in connection with joint activity between the chief rabbinate and the Agudah’s Beth Din, which administers the affairs of the Agudist community.
