A book on a local history in northern California appears to be in jeopardy after a town’s historical association asked the book’s author to delete references to Jews, African Americans, the Irish and Italians. The authors of the book on Menlo Park pulled the book rather than make the changes, which are seen by local Jews as a way to “whitewash” the town’s history.
