A British communique stated that Tel Aviv and the adjoining area were bombed on Monday afternoon. The bombs were dropped indiscriminately, far from military objectives, the communique said. In Tel Aviv, a number of houses were destroyed and some fires started, which were quickly brought under control, it was stated.
