A Canadian Palestinian affiliated with Hamas was charged in Israel with planning to assassinate Jews abroad. Jamal Akal, who was born in Gaza, was charged in Erez Military Court on Monday with conspiracy to commit murder and consorting with terrorists, charges that could carry a 10-year sentence.
