A Canadian politician apologized after a cartoon from his political party showed government officials loading party followers onto boxcars. Lorne Calvert, the prime minister of the province of Saskatchewan and a member of the National Democratic Party, said it is “entirely and unequivocally inappropriate that . . . any events surrounding the Holocaust from the middle of the past century, one of the dark chapters of human history, is in any way trivialized.”
