A census of Jewish capital revealed today that Jews own real estate in Rome valued at 1,200,000,000 lire (about $63,120,000) and nearly equal amounts in Milan and Turin. The census, undertaken prior to the putting into effect of recent decrees affecting Jewish property, also revealed that there were 500 Jewish property owners in Rome and 100 Jewish real estate companies. Twenty-two per cent of the real estate in Ferrara was declared to be owned by Jews, while Jewish property at Genoa was valued at 150,000,000 Lire.
