A Chicago shelter is offering Hebrew classes to the homeless. ARK, which operates two shelters and runs other services for 7,000 needy Jews per year, will offer two Hebrew-language classes with the help of the National Jewish Outreach Program. ARK Executive Director Miriam Weinberger said the classes, which begin Nov. 17, will be offered in two housing facilities in Chicago’s Rogers Park section for Jewish and non-Jewish clients.
