A city-wide campaign to raise funds in order that the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association may continue to exist as the center for Baltimore’s Jewish youth will be launched April 29.
The “Y” has been incurring an annual deficit since its establishment in its present quarters a number of years ago. Up to the present the deficit has been met–partially by private contributions and the rest by borrowing.
Aaron Straus has accepted the chairmanship of the drive, which will continue during the week of April 29. He will be assisted by Joel G. D. Hutzler, Jacob Blaustein, L. Manuel Hendler and Lester Levy, president of the “Y.” A campaign for new members will be conducted simultaneously.
