A coalition of 33 Palestinian groups — including Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat’s own Fatah movement — announced that they reject the U.S.-mediated cease-fire agreement with Israel. It is not clear, however, whether they are totally disavowing the cease-fire or merely object to the requirement that the Palestinian Authority arrest those who participate in terror attacks.
