A coalition of Jewish and Christian groups is lobbying Congress on several environmental issues. Speaking also on behalf of the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life and the National Council of Churches, Rabbi David Saperstein of the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism asked a House subcommittee to allow a study of emissions that he hopes will result in a reduction of dependency on foreign oil and reduce global warming.
