A columnist for the Yiddish Press, a weekly newspaper published here, has urged the local rabbinate to prevail upon the city fathers to include the Yiddish language in the public school curriculum, starting next September. The call, by Dr. M. Erenberg, was prompted by the announcement that the Ukrainian language will be taught in Winnipeg public schools next September, beginning with the seventh grade.
