A course in Mental Hygiene, the first one to be instituted in Ohio, has been started by the Hebrew Union College. It will be directed by Dr. Louis A. Lurie, noted psychiatrist.

Mental Hygiene is taught at present in only six colleges.

The purpose of the new course at the Hebrew Union College. Dr. Lurie pointed out, will be to help students find themselves and to determine their fitness for the rabbinate.

An organization of independent motion picture theatre owners known as the Motion Picture Exhibitors Association, was formed in New York with Aaron Sapiro as president. The association intends, it was announced, by creating a central office for booking of films to put owners of more than 250 neighborhood theatres in New York in a position where their combined yearly buying power of $2,500,000 can compete with the chain theatres controlled by producing corporations in bringing newer pictures to neighborhood houses.
