A court in Belarus upheld an earlier ruling in favor of a book that relies on the 19thcentury forgery, “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.” In making the ruling, the judges in the case ruled that the lower court was correct in deciding that the book, “A War According to the Laws of Viciousness,” is of “scientific importance.” A group that monitors the rights of Jews in the former Soviet Union, the NCSJ, said it would support efforts by the Belarus Jewish community to appeal the decision to the country’s Supreme Court.
