A court in the former Soviet republic of Georgia ruled against the local Jewish community, which has been in a long-running dispute over ownership of a synagogue in the capital of Tbilisi. The ruling reversed several earlier court decisions returning the Abesadze Street Synagogue to the Jewish community, which sparked a wave of anti-Semitic rhetoric in the local media.
