Appointment of A. David Weisgal as executive director of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science was announced by Dewey D. Stone, chairman of the board of governors of the Institute. Mr. Weisgal, who has assumed his new duties, had previously served for six years as assistant to the Committee’s executive vice president who retired from his post at the beginning of the year.
Prior to coming to the Weizmann Institute, Mr. Weisgal had a varied career in merchandising, television, and film making. Now 35, Weisgal is married and has two children. He is the son of Meyer W. Weisgal, president of the Weizmann Institute of Science.
