A delegation of federation leaders is heading to Ethiopia to assess the situation of the Falash Mura. The mission, sponsored by the United Jewish Communities, leaves Feb. 5 and is being billed as a fact-finding mission. It comes as the North American federation system is trying to raise $100 million for the estimated 20,000 Ethiopians still waiting to immigrate and for the absorption of the Ethiopians Jews in Israel.
