A delegation of the Ozet, Society for Settling Jews on the Land, headed by the Icor representative in Bira-Bidjan, Prof. Charles Kunz, arrived here. The purpose of the delegation is to become acquainted with the Harbin and Manchurian markets and the possibilities of shipping products here from Bira-Bidjan and to propagate among Harbin Jews the idea of settling in Bira-Bidjan.
Twenty-five families of the Russian Judaizing sect. Subbotniki, (Sabbath observers) proceeded to Bira-Bidjan, they reported. If these pioneer families succeed, many other members of the sect in Central Siberia will emigrate to Bira-Bidjan.
