A dispute between a Canadian university’s student union and its Hillel should be solved in- house, a Canadian judge ruled recently. The Hillel at Concordia University in Montreal is suing for $100,000 in punitive damages after the school temporarily suspended the Hillel after a Hillel table included fliers about a program that encourages Diaspora Jews to volunteer in the Israeli army.
