A final count of absentee ballots confirmed that Austria’s far-right Freedom Party came in second in last week’s general elections. Many Austrian commentators are saying it is premature to dismiss the possibility that the party, led by Jorg Haider, who once praised Hitler and members of the SS, will be part of the next government.
