A Florida lawmaker told Hadassah members that she would introduce legislation to prevent insurance companies from rejecting applicants who plan to travel to Israel. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) told the Hadassah national convention Sunday that she recently had been denied life insurance because of possible travel to Israel.
The first-term lawmaker said she’ll introduce the Life Insurance Fairness for Travelers Act this summer, preventing companies from denying life insurance based on potential future travel.
