A French city has adopted Ida Nudel, 54, believed to be the Soviet Union’s longest waiting “refusnik” who has been demanding for the last 14 years to leave the Soviet Union. The municipal council of Plaisir, including the seven Communist alderman, has unanimously approved Ida Nudel’s adoption. The city of 25,000, whose name means “pleasure,” is a working class suburb southwest of Paris.
