A French court turned down an appeal from a man who claimed he was denied a fair trial because the judge was Jewish. Last month, a 32-year old Tunisian man was found guilty of blackmail and witness intimidation and sentenced in his absence to 15 months in prison, the Le Monde daily reported Wednesday.
