A German court ruled against a bass player who was fired from his job with the Berlin Opera for signing “Adolf Hitler” on a check while on tour in Israel. Gerd Reinke, who had appealed his dismissal, had called his actions a joke and said he was both drunk and under the influence of sedatives at the time.
