A German television anchorwoman was fired for praising family values under the Nazi regime.
NDR Television said Sunday it had dismissed Eva Herman, a veteran anchorwoman turned author, for comments deemed “incompatible” with the network’s values.
At the launch of her book “Why We Must Save the Family,” Herman, 48, said Germany under the Nazis enjoyed family values gone today, though she also dismissed Hitler as a “manic and dangerous leader.”
Praising the Nazi regime is a crime in Germany.
