A giant Chanukah menorah was lit in Central Paris Sunday as a beacon of hope for Soviet Jewry and of protest against the Soviet Union’s continuing anti-Jewish discrimination. Some 1500 people attended the ceremonies organized by the Council of major Jewish Organizations in France (CRIF) and the International League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism (LICA).
