A group of Arab Americans and American Jews called on President Bush to take the lead in seeking Middle East peace. In a letter issued before the president gave his Middle East policy speech Monday, the group called for a negotiated peace through active U.S. mediation. The statement was spearheaded by the Israel Policy Forum and the Arab American Institute.
