A group of eight Catholic clerics in Israel issued a statement condemning an earlier statement by the Greek Catholic Patriarch Maximus V in defense of Archbishop Hillarion Capucci and criticizing Israel’s handling of his case. The seven priests and one monk demanded that “the process of justice establish the full truth.”
