A group of Israeli students is in Greece documenting the Jewish community of Salonika. The group of 30 students is in Greece for two weeks interviewing survivors and documenting evidence in Salonika, where 95 percent of the estimated prewar Jewish population of 44,000 was deported during the Holocaust. An estimated 1,000 Jews live in Salonika today.
