A group of Palestinians has reportedly launched an initiative from Jordan to replace Yasser Arafat. Several articles have recently appeared in a Jordanian weekly about an initiative to organize a conference of Palestinian activists who oppose the current Palestinian Authority leadership and advocate its replacement with a regime more conciliatory toward Israel, the Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported.
